BU 3, UMass Lowell 0

Revenge of the Terriers: After dropping a home game on Friday to UMass, the BU men's hockey team skated north to Lowell and shut out the River Hawks, 3-0.

The scoring didn't start until the very end of the second, when Cole Hutson scored a slapshot with 1.7 seconds left in the period. Roukounakis scored in the third, and Ben Merrill hit an empty netter toward the end of the game. Goalie Mikhail Yegorov saved 23 shots in the net.

The No. 20 BU Terriers are 12-10-1 on the season, 8-7-0 in conference play. Their 24 points puts them in third place in the Hockey East standings, behind UConn (28 points) and Providence (25), and ahead of BC (22 points).

This will change, and soon. Next weekend, the Terriers play a home-and-away series against Providence (13-7-2), and then the following weekend a single game against BC (11-8-1).
