Okay, cool: on a sorry night for Boston sports when both the BU Terriers men and the Celtics lost their games, Morgan Geekie slapped in a late-night, OT score in LA to break the Bruins' two-game losing streak and finally give a Boston team a win on the night.
Geekie scored earlier in the game, breaking a scoreless game open with a third-quarter goal. Unfortunately, while Boston was on a power play late in the game, the Kings got a short-handed goal to tie the game up and force the OT before Geekie ended the evening with his second goal of the night.
The Bruins (13-10-0) have 26 points and remain in first place in the Atlantic Division. Tomorrow night, the Bruins will figure out just where exactly San Jose is and play the Sharks (10-8-3). Puck drops around 8:00 pm.
