There goes the sweep. I probably jinxed it by bringing it up in the earlier post today. Sorry.
The good news is that Giolito had a good outing. He pitched seven innings with no runs, six hits, and six Ks. The bad news is relievers Bernardino and Guerrero gave up two runs in the eighth and ninth. Toro got his second homer of the day in the ninth inning, but too little, too late and the Sox return to .500.
The Red Sox lead the series, 2-1, and Game 4 is tomorrow at 1:35. Walker Buehler (4-1, 4.00) will start for Boston; the Orioles will have Dear Kremer (3-5, 5.50) on the mound.
