Pretty much what the headline says. Tonight, the woeful Boston Bruins, owners of a 10-game losing streak, beat the Carolina Hurricanes, 5-1, on three goals by David Pastrnak. Morgan Geekie and Elis Lindholm scored in the first period, both goals assisted by Pasta, and then Pastrnak scored three consecutive goals in the second and third periods.
Jeremy Swayman made 39 saves at goalie.
Nice. Let's remember this game as this miserable season grinds to its ignoble end, and hope a little of this juju rubs off on the next five and final games of the year.
Next up: a road trip to Buffalo (33-36-6), a team almost as bad as the Bruins (31-37-9).
