It was a rough weekend for BU Terrier hockey - the men's team got swept by Providence and the women's team got swept by Vermont.
Sydney Healey gave BU an early, 1-0 lead 20 seconds into the game, but little did the Terriers know that would be it for scoring last night. Vermont tied it up in the first and scored a power-play goal in the second. The Terriers pulled goaltender Michelle Pasiechnyk in the final minutes but couldn't capitalize on the extra skater, but at least avoided a late, open-net goal by the Catamounts.
The Terriers are 7-15-3 overall and tied with Maine for seventh place in the Hockey East standings. Next weekend will see a home-and-away against Merrimack (5-16-3).
