Okay, Kraken is a cool name for a sports team, not as cool as Mammoth, but still cool. Doesn't matter though, because the Bruins, despite their old-school name, beat Seattle in Boston, 4-2, for their fifth consecutive win.
Khusnutdinov and Arvidsson scored early in the first to take a 2-0 lead. Kastelic made a short-handed, unassisted goal in the second, and Pastrnak hit an empty-netter on a power play in the third.
Boston (27-19-2) remains eligible for the last Wild Card spot and is two points ahead of Toronto in the standings. Overall, the Bruins are fifth in the Atlantic Division and seventh in the Eastern Conference.
The Bruins head to Chicago for a Saturday night game against the Blackhawks (19-21-7).
