Bruins 4, Canadiens 3

It was a pretty exciting game between two bitter rivals. Montreal's scored first on a Cole Caufield goal, but Viktor Arvidsson tied it up on a power play. Caufield took back the lead with a second goal, but Morgan Geekie tied it up again. Caufield completed the hat trick in the second period to give Montreal a 3-2 lead, but then Fraser Minten responded in the third with a goal. Finally, Geekie scored a second time to give Boston it's first lead of the night at 4-3, and the mighty Boston Bruins held on to win the game.

The Bruins and the Canadiens are the two teams in the East currently eligible for a Wild Card berth, and Boston (3-20-2) is now one point behind Montreal in the standings.

Speaking of rivals, the Bruins head to Madison Square Garden to play the Rangers (21-25-6) on Monday night.
