Bruins 3, Red Wings 0

 

The mighty Moston Bruins shut out the Detroit Pistons, 3-0, the second-place team in the Atlantic Division and the third-place overall in the Eastern Conference.

Pavel Zacha scored the first goal of the game midway through the second,  and Fraser Minton scored early in the third. Mark Kastelic capped it off with an open-net goal late in the game, and Jeremy Swayman preserved Boston's dominance with 24 saves on 24 shots. 

Boston's 54 points puts them in fourth place in the Atlantic Division and qualifies them for a Wild Card spot, two points ahead of the Sabres for the last berth.

The Kraken (21-15-8) come to the Garden Thursday.
