We're No. 13

The BU Terriers swept unranked Merrimack but were dropped one spot in the latest USCHO poll from No. 12 down to No.13. Big deal - I don't care. No. 12, No 13 - same thing to me. It's still only the first half of the season and the next four games are against ranked opponents (No. 10 Quinnipiac, No. 11 Northeastern, and No. 20 Cornell), and those games will determine whether or not the Terriers belong in the top 10.

The biggest news in the poll are all the changes in the top five. Michigan State and Michigan are still No. 1 and 2, but Penn State got swept by the Spartans (BU can relate to that) and fell from No. 3 down to No. 5. Minnesota Duluth is now the new No. 3.

No. 4 Western Michigan got swept by No. 9 Denver and the two teams swapped spots in the poll - Denver is now the new No. 4 and Western Michigan fell to No. 9.

Quinnipiac lost to unranked Yale and needed OT to beat unranked Brown and fell from the No 5 spot. They'll play the No. 13 BU Terriers on Saturday ranked as No. 10.
