November 5 and November 16, 2025. Prior to last night, those were the only two times the Brooklyn Nets won a game this season. But now, last night, the Nets scored their third win, beating the Celtics, 113-105, in Boston.
The Celts let Brooklyn's Nic Claxton get away with a triple double - 18 points, 12 assists, and 11 rebounds. Queta got a double double - 16 points and a dozen rebounds - but if the Celtics are going to rely on Neemias Queta to carry the team, we're in trouble. No shade on Queta - I like him, but as a valued support player. He's not at team leader level, at least not yet.
The Nets aren't the worst team in the NBA - four teams have worse records than 3-12 - so I don't wanna hear anyone complain that Boston just lost to the worst team in the league. We lost to ONE OF the worst.
Okay, let's get this shitshow behind us. Rinse, and hopefully not repeat. The Celtics are now 8-8, .500 basketball, and three back from Toronto, both in standings and in games. Anything is still possible in this young season. At 6:00 pm tomorrow (is that last afternoon or early evening?), the Celtics host Franz Wagner and the Orlando Magic (9-7); the Magic's Paolo Banchero is out on injured reserved.
