Hurricanes 3, Bruins 1

With 10 seconds left in the game, Riley Tufte scored a power-play goal for the Bruins. Up to that point, bupkis.

Former BU Terrier Charlie McAvoy (Class of 2016) was out last night after taking a puck to the mouth during Saturday night's win over Montreal. He flew back to Boston with the team, and surgery may be needed. The Bruins also placed forwards Viktor Arvidsson and Casey Mittelstadt on injured reserve Monday while sending defenseman Jordan Harris to long-term injured reserve. Elias Lindholm was put on injured reserve back on October 30, and Jordan hArris is out for two months.

Boston falls to 12-9-0, but their 24 points keep them in first place, one point ahead of Detroit and Montreal.  They're off to the West Coast for a series of games, starting Wednesday night (10:00 pm) against the Anaheim Ducks (12-6-1).
