Four win in a row, fifth in their last six games! This one took a shootout to win, but a win is a win is a win, and the mighty Bruins won!
Boston's Marat Khusnutdinov got the game-wining shootout goal, and also scored the game-tying goal in the third. Arvidsson and Zacha scored in the second and Swayman made 29 saves in goal. The Bruins are 2-0 against the Islanders this season e.
Boston is 8-7-0 and their 16 points puts then in third place in the Atlantic. Even though it's still way to early to think about, they're also the sixth seed in the playoff standings (I can dream, can't I?).
From the frozen tundra of Long Island, the Bruins will travel up to the provincial backwaters of Ottawa to play the Senators (6-5-2) on Thursday night. We lost, 5-2, up in Ottawa back on October 27, and this game will be the Bruins' retribution.
