Bruins 3, Islanders 1

The mighty Boston Bruins score a goal in each of the three periods as they beat the Islanders down on the Island, 3-1. Alex Steeves scored twice, including a short-handed goal in the third, and Tanner Jeannot  knocked one in to start the second period. Jeremy Swayman saved 44 of 45 shots against goal.

The Bruins (14-11-0) have 28 points, tied with Ottawa. The Senators, however, earned their 28 on 23 games, and are in second place in the Atlantic Division behind Tampa Bay, while the Bruins, who needed 25 games to get to 28, are in third.

The Bruins got to go back home for Thanksgiving after last night's game, and will host the New York Rangers (12-11-2) on Friday afternoon (1:00 pm, TNT).
