Dodgers 5, Red Sox 2

Try to stay positive, try to stay positive. Look at the good side, the half-full part of the glass. The Red Sox ended Ohtani's home-run streak, limiting him to 1-for-4 at the plate and striking him out twice. We didn't have to face Mookie Betts in Fenway for some reason. And the game was close, 3-2, Dodgers, for much of the game, until a Teoscar Hernández homer in the eighth finally broke the lead open.

Brayan Bello went 5.1 innings, striking out five and giving up three runs on six hits. The bullpen did pretty well, too, striking out another five and giving up two runs on four hits. But a win apparently was not to be, as the Boston bats went largely silent down the stretch.

The Dodgers are starting their veteran ace Clayton Kershaw (4-1, 3.27) tonight. The Dodgers lost his last two starts, however, so there's some hope. Most importantly, though, it's Crochet Day, and the Red Sox are starting our brightest hope, ace pitcher Garrett Crochet (11-4, 2.19), who's on track for a 20-win season.

In Garrett we trust. Let's take this series back, Boston!
