Cubs 6, Red Sox 0

Psych! The Red Sox didn't start unknown Dominican pitcher Jose Bello yesterday like Yahoo Sports said, but Brayan Bello (of course). Not that it mattered - Brayan gave up three runs, reliever Chris Murphy three more, and the Cubs shut out the Sox, winning 6-0 for Boston's second straight loss after the All Star break. Boston gave up five of those six runs on solo homers.

After ending the first half of the season with three consecutive sweeps, let's see if we can avoid starting the second half by getting swept. This afternoon, the Sox will start Garrett Crochet (10-4, 2.23),. our most reliable pitcher, against the Cubs' Cade Horton (3-3, 4.45).  If the bats finally wake back up, we should have a chance at this.
