Yeah, baby! The Red Sox win back-to-back road games in Kansas City. Devers and Abreu both hit homers and gave Lucas Giolito (1-1, 4.96) his first win since 2023 and first ever in a Red Sox uniform. 

For his part, Giolito went 6.2 innings, getting six strikeouts and giving up one run on two hits. The bullpen gave up only two hits and no runs the rest of the game. 

The Sox win the series against the Royals, 2-1, and are now 22-20 and still in second place, two back from New York. All other AL East teams are at .500 or lower. 

The Red Sox travel to Detroit for a three-game series against the Tigers (26-15). Tanner Houck (0-2, 6.10) will opposes Jackson Jobe (2-0, 4.88) on Monday in the opener.
