Royals 2, Red Sox 1

I'm not going to be snarky about this loss because this time, they really did try. Ten scoreless innings, and then the Red Sox finally score the first run of the entire game in the 11th on a Raffie ground out. But the Royals tied it up in the bottom of the inning and then won it in the 12th.

Hunter Dobbins went six scoreless innings, and Boston went through seven relievers - Cora really was trying to win this game.

"A" for effort even if the final score isn't what we wanted to see. Game 2 is tomorrow (Saturday) at 7:10. Keep bringing the intensity, boys, and we'll beat the Royals yet.
