Red Sox 6, Twins 1

Oh, back in sweet, sweet Fenway! The Red Sox come off their 3-3 road trip and beat the Minnesota Twins, 6-1. Bregman homered in the first, again, and Devers, González, Hamilton, and Duran all hit RBI singles and doubles. And where would we be without Bryan Bello? He pitched 6.2 innings with five strikeouts and only one run. And for once, our bullpen didn't blow the lead in the late innings.

Good stuff. Can't wait until Game 2 tomorrow (4:10) - Hunter Dobbins (2-0, 2.45) vs. Bailey Ober (3-1, 4.13). Let's keep this one-game home win streak going!

Update: Okay, so I didn't actually watch the game. What the box score didn't tell me, though, was that first baseman Triston Casas sustained a "significant knee injury" in the second inning while running out a chopper down the first base line. He was called safe, but upon crossing the base, he fell to the ground and immediately grabbed his left knee and had to be taken from the field on a stretcher. Manager Alex Cora said when he got on the field, Casas seemed to be in a state of shock.

Last year, Casas suffered torn cartilage in his rib cage in mid-April and missed much of last season. Now he's sustained what appears to be a potential season-ending injury.

Damn, that sucks.
