The bats woke up. 

Story and Narváez got the homers, Trevor a three-run blast in the 7th and Carlos a two-run shot in the 8th. Devers was 4 for 4 with three RBIs and Durran and Bregman had RBI base hits as well. On the mound, Garrett Crochet allowed only one run on seven hits over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one.

The win ended Kansas City's seven-game win streak.

The Yankees lost today, so Boston (21-20) is back to two game out from first place.

Tomorrow's game is at 2:10. Lucas Giolito (0-1, 8.38) will try to turn things in a game against Seth Lugo (3-3, 2.84).
