Red Sox 3, Orioles 0

 

Tonight, the Boston Red Sox doubled their number of wins this season with a 3-0 shutout of the Baltimore Orioles. Boston is now 2-4 and 2½ games back from first-place Toronto (5-2).

Trevor Story homered 413 feet into deep left center in the second inning in what turned out to be the winning run. In the fifth, Ceddanne Rafaela brought Kristian Campbell home with a single to center, and then Rafael Devers finally snapped out of his slump and scored Ceddanne with a double to right center. 

Garrett Crochet (1.38) got his first win as a Red Sox, fanning eight batters over eight innings while giving up zero runs.
