Red Sox 10, Toronto 2

The Red Sox started the game with two home runs (Durran and Bregman) in the first three at-bats in the first inning. . . but all anyone’s going to be talking about is New York got three HRs in the first three at bats today. Fucking Yankees suck.

But let's not look at the glass half-empty. The Red Sox won today and won big, with homers not only by Durran and Bregman but also by Wilyer Abreu, Rafael Devers, and Kristian Campbell, who also hit an RBI double. Boston's first seven runs were all on homers.

Garret Crochet (2-2, 1.95) went seven innings giving up only two runs and getting six strikeouts. The Boston bullpen (Guerrero and Bernardino) was flawless in the last two innings - no hits, no runs, no walks.

The Red Sox improve to 17-14, one and a half back from New York. Game two against the Jays is tomorrow at 7:00.
