This was the game we needed. After a tentative first half with no three-point shots made by Boston, the Celtics exploded in the second half, outscoring the Magic by 33 points and completing 13 threes. Tatum scored 35 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds, finishing 4 for 5 from beyond the arc, and Brown scored 23 points.
See? Told you the Celtics would win in five.
The team is banged up with Porzingis' stitched-up forehead, Tatum's wrist, Holiday's hamstring, and Brown's hand. Fortunately, Detroit beat the Knicks tonight and forced a Game 6 in that series, so the Celtics will have at least a few days to rest up and heal.
No date is set yet for the first game of the next round against whoever wins the Pistons-Knicks series. But congratulations to the Celtics - you've now won four of the 16 playoff games you need to become the repeat NBA champions!
Let's go, Boston!
