The No. 12-ranked BU women's ice hockey team (21-9-2), currently in first place in Hockey East (18-5-2), needs only one point to win the 2024-2025 conference title, which they have not had since 2013. Standing in their way: a home-and-away, regular-season finale against No. 15 UConn, second place in Hockey East.
The Huskies won the first round on their home ice with a 4-1 victory. Grad student Lindsay Bochna scored the lone BU goal on a Third Period power play, but that was it for the Terriers. UConn picks up three points for the win and move to within two points of the first-place Terriers. A UConn win tomorrow in Boston would give the Huskies the title. A BU win, or even the game going into OT, would give the title to the Terriers.
It all comes down to this, the last regular season game for both teams. No pressure.
Go, Terriers!
