Second blow-out loss in two days. First, Buffalo (7-2), now this. The game was pretty tight through the first two periods, and tied at two 11 seconds into the third. But then the Bruins allowed four unanswered Winnipeg goals in the final period and that was that, Boston's 22nd loss on the season.
Marchand and Lindholm scored the two Boston goals. Goalie Joonas Korpisalo made 21 saves against 26 shots (.808).
The Bruins fall to fifth in the Atlantic Division and are one point away from dropping out of the Wild Card race.
The next game, if you can stand it, is Saturday night when the NY Rangers come to the Garden.
