Blues 4, Bruins 1

The mighty Boston Bruins lose back-to-back games for only the second time this season.

Last night, James Hagens scored a goal early in the first period, the first goal of the game and the fifth of the rookie player's season, but that was it for the Bruins offensively. Jeremy Swayman made 18 saves in the net but four got past him, and the Blues beat the Bruins, 4-1, in St. Louis.

The Bruins (9-4-1) hold 19 points and still lead the Atlantic, but the sneaky Montreal Canadiens have crept up from behind and are now but one point behind at 18.

Whatever. Saturday, October 31, Halloween, the Bruins will host the Chicago Blackhawks (4-9-0) in a classic, Original Six matchup.   The Blackhawks will bring a triumvirate of former BU Terriers back to town - Jordan Greenway (BU. 2018), Alex Vlasic (BU, 2022), and Ryan Greene (BU. 2025). Chicago boasts the most former Terriers of any team in the NHL.

Doesn't matter. Charlie McAvoy (BU, 2016) and the Bruins will slap the shot out of them.
