Sharks 3, Bruins 1

In the second period of last night's game, former BU Terriers' wunderkind Macklin Celebrini scored a power-play goal for the Sharks, their second of the game, to give San Jose a 2-0 lead. It would be all that the Sharks needed to win.

Celebrini has 14 goals on the season, tied for third in the NHL and behind the Bruins' Morgan Geekie (17). He's tied for second in assists (20) and points (34). And he's only 19 yeas old.

Geekie got a goal last night too, his 17th and the Bruins' only score of the game, but the Sharks were able to capitalize on the open net at the end of the period and the game ended, 3-1, Sharks.

A fight broke out at the end of the game, so that was cool. Also, Elias Lindholm returned from injured reserve, even though he didn't score last night.

Detroit picked up a point on a win Saturday night and lead the Bruins by one in the Atlantic. Boston is off until Wednesday when they play the Islanders down in New York.
