Morgan Geekie scored two regulation goals and Casey Mittelstadt hit the game-winning shootout goal, and the mighty Boston Bruins pick up their 15th win of the season. Jeremy Swayman was .923 in the goal with 24 saves.
Geekie's 20 goals on the season is tied for first in the NHL with Nathan MacKinnon of the Avalanche. Swayman's 486 saves on the season is second in the league to Igor Shesterkin of the Rangers.
With the win, the Bruins' 30 points moves them up to second in the Atlantic, four points back from Tampa Bay.
The Red Wings (13-11-2) will try and get their revenge on Tuesday when they host the Bruins in Detroit (7:00 pm).
