The mighty, mighty, unstoppable Boston Bruins were down, 1-0, with only five minutes left in the game. Lesser teams would have folded at that point and accepted the loss, but Viktor Arvidsson scored a goal to tie it up and then, with only 90 seconds left on the clock, Casey Mittelstadt lit the lamp with the game winner. Bruins beat Carolina in the Garden, 2-1.
That's three straight wins for the Bruins (7-7-0), fourth of their last five. Their 14 points puts them in third place in the Atlantic, behind Detroit and Montreal's 16 points.
The Bruins head to Elmont, New York next for an Election Day game against the Islanders (5-5-1).
