BC 5, BU 2

I hate the fucking Eagles, man!

The BU Terriers women's hockey team lost to the unranked BC Eagles last night up on Chestnut Hill. BU scored first with a goal by Kaileigh Quigg, but BC came right back with two goals of their own to take a 2-1 lead by the end of the first period. In the second, the Eagles were hit with a major penalty for contact to the head, and BU's Lola Reid scored during the five-minute power play to tie the game at 2. BC scored again a minute into the third and added two more goals in the final minutes to win, 5-2.

Despite the final score, BU outshot BC 45-23, including an 18-5 lead in in the first period alone and won 30 of the 51 faceoffs.

The Terriers fall to 2-9-0 overall and 2-4-0 in Hockey East play. Game 2 of this home-and-away series is at BU's Agganis Arena tonight (7:00 pm).
