Boston gave this one away! Tied game, bottom of the tenth, the Red Sox load the bases up, and then Narváez brings the winning run home with a catcher's interference call. Now I've seen it all.
Duran homered in the first and Buehler pitched seven full innings, giving up two runs on six hits with four K's. Chapman and Whitlock pitched two innings of shut-out relief and Story tied the game with an RBI single in the sixth. But in that 10th inning, Jordan Hicks loaded the bases with no outs, and then Phillies batter Max Kepler's bat touched catcher Narváez' glove, or Narváez' glove touched Kepler's bat, which put Kepler on base, advanced the runners, and brought the wining run home. The game ended on a walk-off error. Sheesh!
Game 2 of this road series is tomorrow night- Dick Fitts (1-3, 4.28) vs. Cristopher Sánchez (8-2, 2.50). Early line has Philly winning by 1½.
