Brewers 5, Red Sox 1

It's even worse - far worse - than the score suggests. It's Boston's fourth straight loss but worse, they led 1-0 going into the bottom of the 9th before the Brewers tied it and then hit a walk-off grand-slam home run in the 10th.

The Sox have scored only five runs in the last four games. The only run tonight was on a wild pitch. The team just seems incapable of scoring. The real tragedy isn't the grand salami in the 10th, it's that the Brewers were able to send it into extra innings with their only run of the game in the 9th. Just one more run - a 2-0 lead - would have won the game.

Jarren Duran went 0-5 with 4 strikeouts. Trevor Story went 0-4. Starting pitcher Richard Fitts made his first start since April 12, but lasted only three innings.

We gotta play better than this.

Brayan Bello (2-1, 4.08) will try to avoid the sweep tomorrow, but it doesn't matter how well he pitches if the batters don't generate more offense.
