Wow! Another stolen home plate! Second game in a row. This time it was Romy González in the fifth inning to give the Sox a 6-0 lead over the Guardians in Cleveland.
Boston got that big lead with a Rob Refsnyder homer and a whole bunch of singles, doubles, and sacrifice flies. Rafaela hit a three-run homer in the seventh to give Boston a 12-3 lead, and Duran hit an RBI double in the ninth for the final, 13-3 score. Brayan Bello pitched six innings to go 2-0 on the season.
The Sox win the series, 2-1, and are 16-14 overall on the season. They're off tomorrow, and then have a three-game series in Toronto against those pesky Jays (13-14). Sean Newcomb (0-3, 4.43) will face off against Bowden Francis (2-3, 3.58) in the opener.
