UConn 3, BU 1

 

Those dirty, stinkin' UConn Huskies! Almost as bad as the BC Eagles! 

Coming into this series, the first-place BU Terriers lead Hockey East by 5 points. But with two consecutive wins, UConn got 6 points and ends the season atop the Hockey East standings by one.  The Terriers will be the No. 2 seed in the Hockey East Tournament and will host a quarterfinal game on Saturday (March 1) at 4 pm.

 Luisa  Welcke got the lone goal for BU in the second.

It's a disappointing end to the regular season, but ending in second place and having home ice in the quarterfinals isn't all that bad.   

So shake it off, regroup, and get ready for the postseason, BU!
