The No. 13 Boston University Terriers kicked off a home-and-away series against New Hampshire with a 2-1 road victory. Christina Vote and Maggie Hanzel scored goals in the First and Second Periods, respectively, before UNH scored a power-play goal in the Third. BU goaltender Callie Shanahan made 21 saves in the net.
The Hockey East-leading Terriers are 21-9-1 overall and 18-5-1 in conference play. They lead UConn by four points in the Hockey East standings.
Game Two of the series is tomorrow at 4:00 pm in the friendly confines of BU's Walter Brown Arena.
